Growing up, the only Christians that seemed to embrace the term patriarchy were tier 2 homeschoolers. The average evangelical or traditional catholic would consider the word a pjerogative or an unfair characterisation of their views. We believed in complementarianism! We didn't have anything against women in power there were just special roles in marriage and the church...
Christians are starting to admit complementarianism is patriarchy-lite. This is resulting in a lot of them moving towards egalitarianism and/or leaving the church, but a lot of them are also starting to embrace patriarchy now. The "Christian patriarchy movement" is no longer fringe among evangelicals or traditional catholics. It's growing.
