As a kid growing up, I remember feeling so confused when pastors/teachers would tell me that my heavenly father loves me more than my dad does. I would think "but my dad would never ever send me to Hell, no matter what I did". Sadly, I just thought that this lack of understanding meant that I wasn't a good or faithful enough Christian. 🤮
But I was right. The God that evangelical Christians worship is NOT loving. He is in fact spiteful, cruel, abusive and calloused.
Oh the freedom and beauty of knowing that even as a young child, my intuition was good. 💖🙌
What didn't sit right with you as a Christian that you now see was just your intuition and logical brain doing their job?
