Conversation I had with my mom

Post Body

So I was with my mom one day and we talked about my dad and his alcoholism. She said she saw the change in him and how he was on his knees for Jesus back when I was little and how come he says all that is untrue now? She said he’s lying now and just doesn’t want Jesus/God to hold him accountable. I don’t think my dad was lying at either points in his life and truly believed in Christianity for a minute. (I’ll have to ask this next tine we talk but pretty sure he /did/ believe in it.) I wish my mom would realize he can get help without Christianity being involved. And I know she just wants my dad to go back to being a better dad and so on, but I know religion won’t help him since he no longer believes. Sorry for ranting just kinda thought about the conversation and got upset a little about it.
