Just got an email from Microsoft Major update ID MC454810 titled "Basic Authentication retirement in Microsoft 365 Apps". From here I gathered that even NTLM and Kerberos are considered "basic authenticaiton" (despite the confusing term also found in IIS authentication).
So how are we supposed to configure "modern authentication" without doing HMA?
For instance if the customer does not want to rely on a cloud service (i.e. Azure AD) or it's an internal Exchange instance with no Internet connectivity (I've seen such things - don't ask).
