I am attempting to find a way to have a dynamic starting point within an offset formula.
I have a list of unique dates from a dataset. What I’d like to do is use a formula to create a named range that is a dynamic “chunk” or block of those unique dates (like 30 or 60) and use that as X axis values for a chart.
I’m able to get the offset formula to work for the first X values of my date list, but I’d like to have the starting point that the offset starts on be dynamic in nature.
Say for example I have a years worth of dates. I’d like to pick a starting date an have my names range be from that day and back X number of days. So I can visualize data in that time period.
Any tips on getting the “reference” argument in OFFSET to be dynamic? I have the “height” as dynamic to pick my date range, I just can’t quite get the starting point to be dynamic.
Any help is much appreciated.
Hope ya’ll are staying safe and healthy
