Hopefully this makes sense as I'm fairly amateur with excel:
I have a worksheet that pulls data from a separate program. Rows in use may vary at any given time, but will still have formulas when no data present (have formatting set up to hide false data in rows not in use).
I'd like to have a thick border that is fluid based on where the visible data ends. I found the following formatting for all boxes with data, which would also be nice:
=COUNTA($A1:$F1)>0
However, since some of the data is "hidden" or false, those blank rows still get associated with the border formatting I attach to the above rule.
I must be overlooking something, I just don't know what it is. Have I over-complicated hiding the false data to begin with? I'm just using a cond. format that turns text white if data = '0' (the false data being produced).
Ultimately I'd like a thick outer border and then row lines, both of which are fluid based on which rows are using visible data. Am I making up words here, or does this make sense?
