At my wit's end: Cannot figure out how to get a dynamic line graph that has a dynamic date range on the X axis, and shows the upwards trend of a product tracked in a table with associated dates

Post Body

Hello all,

I am really hoping I can get some help with this. I've tried previously to get solutions here, and I've queried every single form of GTP I can to help with this (they all go down the wrong rabbit hole and begin hallucinating solutions and fake menus that don't exist). I really appreciate all the help I can get.

I have, essentially, a tracker that I developed on Excel. There is a table on a sheet called NewAccounts_TrackingTable. In Column1, I can have only a couple of different options (consumer, business, etc). In column2, there is a date. This is the date the new account was tracked.

On a different sheet, the user can select a date range by inputting a date in BeginningDateCell and another date in EndDateCell. Of course, the date in BeginningDateCell must be lower than the date in EndDateCell.

What I would like is to get a bar graph that relies on this data: On the X (horizontal) axis, what I want is on one end to have the date defined in BeginningDateCell and on the other end the date defined in EndDateCell. For example, if BeginningDateCell is 1/1/2024, and EndDateCell is 1/10/2024, then the X axis should be a spread of time from the first of the month until the tenth of the month.

I want the line on this line graph to be tracking "consumer" accounts. That is to say, every date entry in Column2 that has an equivalent entry in Column1 of "Consumer". Essentially, it should always be an upwards trend, but I want the graph to represent how often I was getting new consumer accounts tracked in that table. For example, if I was tracking them every day on the 5th, 6th, and the 7th, then the line graph would show a rapid increase at around that time of a factor of one increase per day.

The caveat? I cannot add any "helper" columns to NewAccounts_TrackingTable. I can add other data elsewhere in the file, just not as additional columns in the NewAccounts_TrackingTable.

I much appreciate any help I can get, and am willing to answer any further questions as soon as I get home from work. Thank you so much for helping me out
