I keep running jnto an issue where i keep having ti save a copy of the excel file i’m working on because it’s read only.

Problem is that it isn’t as far as i can tell. Protect workbook does’nt have anything checked and even when i open the properties of the file, read only is unchecked. The error always occurs within a few days/weeks of it being opened.

The file is on a share drive shared by the company i work for but 99% of other departments probably dont even know the file exists let alone would be opening it. Its sometimes opened on my coworker’s computer so i figured maybe thats causing the issue as if its still open there jt may be opening for me a read only file without giving me the prompt but sometimes their computer is entirely off and it still bugs.

Any idea whats causing the issue and how to fix it? Im tired of having ten copies of the same file over and over.
