Keep formula working when the referenced data on another sheet got changed?

Hello,

Hopefully I word this question right.

I have 2 sheets on an excel file.

Let's call them: Summary and Detail.

The first sheet has sumifs function to pull data from the "Detail" sheet (example: SUMIF(DETAIL[HEADING]," XXX",DETAIL[AMOUNT]). The "Detail" sheet gets overwritten (as an output by Alteryx) frequently but has the same number of columns and headings.

I was hoping there is a way to update the source table on the "Detail" sheet that the formula on the "Summary" tab would keep working. However, as expected, I'm getting all #REF errors since the sheet "Detail" does technically get removed/overwritten with new data.

Is there a way to reference the formula on the Summary tab so I can just "update" the source table ("Detail") somehow?

Thank you.
