Sorry if this is rude to ask, but do Catholics take their belief less seriously than Christianity? Is it “less toxic”?

I grew up Christian, (atheist now) and maybe I was just an elitist prick, but it seemed like Catholics were more chill about premarital sex, cursing, etc. like I remember the catholic kids swearing more openly, I think Dane cook said he was catholic during a vulgar standup.

It’s what I remember experiencing, but looking back, I remember a ton of the Christians doing the same thing at the same levels, so I’m wondering if there’s any truth to the idea that Catholics generally are more relaxed about their rules?

I know it probably varies on an individual level so I guess this is kind of a shit post, but just wanted to ask.
