I didn’t go to WS for the BNH but still got a ribbon.

Now, I don’t know how to feel about this. I was really resolved on not going to the preparatory WS and the BNH this year. Just this morning though, a deacon showed up at our home and gave all of us a ribbon for the BNH.
I wonder if he knew that I did not go to WS this week.
Are any of you guys gonna go? Why or why not?
