Has anyone noticed how devotees on one hand always say "doing e.g. ekadashi fast burns all sins/chanting maha mantra gives as many boons as donating 1000 cows" etc. But then always claim "Oh Lord, I don't seek liberation nor riches, I only want to be a blade of grass under your lotus feet" ?

Like, there are SO many instances where they mention rewards for doing this fast or donation or chanting. But then to claim "oh nono I am not interested in gaining anything at all, I'm a selfless servant of the servant🙏"

It always seemed so weird to me how they keep mentioning all these rewards like dangling carrots in front of you.

Was wondering if anyone ever thought this was weird too.
