Considering the man who is credit aware and is ready to prepare for his family, i think it's important to figure out how to take care and properly maintain plumbing, walls, electric systems, windows, doors, lawns, garages, and general rules for repair (leaks, floods, insects, plumbing issues)
If a regimen could be set for bug, pipe, and heatleaking maintenance so that no unexpected repairs would need to happen (assuming no crazy kids or irresponsible tenants), what things should someone do on a somewhat regular basis to keep these things functioning as well as possible?
Location and specific risks (floods and tornadoes) are specific as well, but also welcomed.
