I do not want to word vomit all of my story on to reddit, but long story short I am urgently trying to get out of the food industry. I have been a GM of 2 different restaurants over the last 4 years. Managed staff sizes ranging from 25 up to 115 currently. Experience in HVAC, Internet/Cable, manufacturing/factory work, and logistics sales. Wide range of experience, but thought i found my passion in food. I'm burnt out and tired of working 70 hrs every week on top of the never ending cycle of what feels like lies, dancing around questions, and underpaying/misleading employees. Maybe management isn't for me anymore, I don't know, but either way I just want out and I'm open to hearing pretty much any suggestions. I just want time with my family again.
I've applied to Cintas, a slew of financial offices/sales positions, and several General warehouse positions, but now that seems to be all Indeed/LinkedIn seems to recommend to me. I'm a competent, hardworking guy, and I'm willing to make a lot of sacrifices if it's in the name of growth and helping my family. Like a lot of us out here, I'm feeling more and more trapped every day and I'm just looking for some help or a push in another direction.
I did merchandising for Pepsi back in college as a PT job. Tbh, I'd love to get back into it but I've never gotten a response from any merchandising job I've put in for. I've put in for Frito, Pepsi, Coke, Monarch, and several others. Never been responded tooπ€·π»ββοΈ
Maaaaaan.... I ain't gonna lie. I've had several several friends/family go and work in the Pot room and few who made it out without quitting. Not trying to be a begger who's choosing, but are there any other positions they're hiring for? That money/benefits package looks glorious, but honestly, I really don't know if the time commitment would have me feeling much better than where I currently am. The temps don't really bother me for the most part. Worked a lot of long days on the farm and roofing. Not quite the same as pot room but I'd like to think it's comparable to a degree.

Won't let me DM you. Feel free to reach out to me. Again, not likely after the run I've had, but I'll listen to anything at the least.
