Sept. 15 will mark the fourth โFind Dawnita Dayโ: an annual observance meant to keep the case fresh in the public's mind. Dawnita's family has compiled an $8,000 reward for any information into her whereabouts.
I wonder how many of these missing people are in or around Indy? I spoke to an EPD last year about the crime here. He said typically this is where anyone being chased will lay low. Evansville is in between large cities and on the way to Chicago. So I can imagine anyone professional criminal/con artist meets a sweet gal in E-ville and then takes her with to Indy or Chicago where no one will know her.
