Vann Ave and Walnut
Post Body

Vann ave. is closed again where they placed that atrociously large hump on Walnut. Did it damage too many vehicles? Are they removing it? Please tell me they are. I've avoided that section as often as possible but it was a terrible placement.

That's insanity lol.

I live on Covert near Vann and frequently used Vann. I, too, hit it going like 10-15 and feel like I smack the bottom of my car almost every time. I see any type of vehicle that sits up higher smoke it going 20-30 all the time though. Still don't understand how we "damaged" it though?

I'm going 10... speed limit is like 35? 40? If I have to slow down even more than that, at what point do I become a hazard on the road? Why are we slowing down this far? The youth league fields? School zones don't even slow down that far.

On top of that, I frequent USI's campus and they have several of these speed tables implemented. Not once have I ever hit the bottom of my car on it. Numerous other people also making the same complaint. Make it make sense.

I have owned a variety of vehicles. I feel your pain when I’ve bottomed out my vehicles. But if you knowingly are driving down the street, maybe slow down because you know you’re going to bottom out. At the end of the day if you destroy your oil pan, the city is not going to fix your car.

Why are you driving over it so fast? Common sense is authorized. Slow down!
