Should and will UK send a song that uses a language besides English?
Post Body

UK has never sent a song that used a language besides English.

It'll never happen, but it'd be lovely if we did. Give me an opera-trained Welsh lass singing something mournful and haunting from rain-soaked valleys.

Usually, yes.

Some odd ones have happened: Some countries has sent songs that are natively spoken but are minority languages. Finland 2012 was in Swedish (an official minority language there). It was really nice, although it got NQ'd. France 2011 was in Corsican. France 2022 (Fulenn) was in Breton. I'm somewhat sure that countries have sent songs that are in the romantic languages even though they aren't their native language, but I'm not sure. Can't come to think of an example at the moment that doesn't also use English, such as Sweden 2009 (La Voix).
