While I do think that televote only semi-finals make the show more interesting, it's sometimes heartbreaking to see genuinely good acts miss out (Georgia, Latvia etc.). I wish Eurovision had a wildcard option where all the non-qualifiers would get a chance to compete for one last spot in the finals. An additional act wouldn't extend the Grand Final too much time-wise, but would give a chance to someone who barely missed out. I'd even be OK if the final decision was on the juries as it would balance things out wonderfully (they wouldn't even have to perform again, the juries would base their decision of the semi-final performance). It would also resolve the problem of imbalanced semi-finals (of death).
What do you think?
