Exactly. It should be treated the same way we generally treat other dangerous things.
Driving a gigantic semi truck with 60,000lbs of steel in the back is more dangerous than driving your Prius. We ask that if you want to drive something like that, you get trained and licensed and we do additional inspections and have measures in place to make sure you're doing it safely and responsibly.
If you want a dog that is disproportionately more dangerous than other breeds, measures need to be put in place to keep it safe.
I think the average person, even with all of the pitbull related news out there, still has no idea how much more dangerous this breed is than even the other "intimidating" breeds like rottweilers, shepherds or dobermans.
