Hey! I'm a 29 year old dude from Poland, I've traveled a lot in my life (mostly hitchhiking), but in the last few years I barely left Poland. Finally I'm going out to travel and I'll be in Turkey for a week (from 10th to 17th of December). First stop is Antalya, but after that I will be coming to Izmir on 13th and leaving on 15th, then Istanbul 15th to 17th.
So, to the point - I love meeting people, especially locals when I travel. If any of you would like to hang out, maybe go do something together, explore the city, grab something to eat or drink or whatever else really - I will probably be open to it. If I get more replies then we may go out as a group, but I myself am better one on one or in very small groups as I'm not much of a party person.
A bit about myself - I work in IT, recently moved from software developer role to more of a project manager/team leader position. I've started hitchhiking when I was like 21 and have traveled well over 20000 kilometers that way in many countries (including a 1 month long, ~7500 kilometer trip across Canada). I try to stay active, like gym, hiking, playing squash and bouldering. As mentioned above - not a party person, though I'm definitely down for a beer and just chatting away the evening.
So far I have literally no plan other than just the dates of my visit. I haven't booked my accommodation yet (I used to use Couchsurfing, had like 40 references there, but I'm boycotting them nowadays), I have no clue what to see in the city and I will just figure things out on the go as I like to do when possible. Feel free to give me some recommendations if you'd like though and I will gladly listen to you guys and maybe choose some of those propositions (how about you join me though?;)).
Well, I feel like that's enough, if you want to know more then just send me a message or a chat request, I think either should work. Hope you are doing well and have a great day... see you soon ;)
