Hi! I lived in Germany for a very long time (c. 6 years) and because of that, I can generally speak and understand German pretty well. Around a couple of years ago, I returned back to my home country (the UK) and now I’m starting to the feel the cobwebs building.
Because of this, I’ve decided to push myself in taking a German exam and to rebuild some confidence and generally get exposure to different people, I’m looking for some natural connections to platonically chat away with on audio chat (if we’re in the same town at any point, coffees and beers are also encouraged).
My details are as below but yours needn’t be identical. I’d ideally like you in all cases to be open and just down to chat (cold Sunday evenings are excellent territory):
- I work in a finance-y role in the UK
- I’m a big travel enthusiast and have seen a lot of Europe with some continents now featuring on the list
- I have a Nintendo Switch, specialties being Mario Kart and Pokémon Scarlet
- I’ve some personal experience with anxiety disorders so I’m pretty understanding
- I like cooking and have recently been working on my pasta making skills
- I enjoy a beer, virtual or otherwise
Hopefully that’s a good starting point but it’s really the tip of the iceberg. Perhaps we can get to know each other better? :)
