If you know where that quote came from, then we're at least friends :D, just a little bit more before they get the Oscars! (even if you're not who I'm looking for, but also a fan of the movie, give a shout out!)
Hello! It's a new year, and I'll try this thing out again. It hasn't seem to have worked well last time, heck even just to find friends, but maybe this time I'd shoot to the stars and actually reach the moon, you know?
Who am I?
- TCK, who's had 3 homes now, and did get my found family on my second home, but I've left them to pursue the life that's more my pace in Germany. Trying to find that one here now, but...it's been awhile. Germans are tough to crack. The international community is also a bit difficult for me to connect to as well, but I'm in no rush!
- An immigrant to Germany since close to a decade that 's been naturalized quite well in the region, speaking 3 languages and trying to learn that elusive Spanish.
- Retired weekend warrior, I used to run marathons, but now I just like to wake up early but I don't like to torture myself with running anymore. Least not doing it by myself, that is, now I'm trying to get back the physique that I had when I was 20, so I can fit back into a nice suit...so, yeah, that's me.
- Avid reader, I'm a big fan of a really magnificent author that likes to say RAFO (Read and Find Out) to his fans, who's writing like a man that is running out of time (hey, yeah, I also like musicals), and did get to my 20 books in a year, though about half of them is through audiobook last year, and now aiming for 45 books this year. Jim Butcher and Sapkowski is still on my list.
- I like to cook quite a bit! I like to think that in another universe, if I had actually went to culinary school, I'd have become a chef. What kind of food, I'm not sure, though I do like eating soulful food, But I adore how Jon Favreau played that character in Chef. My specialty is japanese ramen, especially with a Miso tare.
- I used to also be an avid solo traveller, but I have pretty much hung up my backpack, and would only travel if there's an actual reason for it. Not having a strong passport does put a damper on spontaneity.
- I sit in front of a computer and solve problems by automating some abstract stuff. I call it wrangling a snake. Otherwise, I go into another world and trying to go through an amazing story through the wastelands or a fantasy world, or a futuristic cyberpunk one.
- I video call my mom and my grandmom every weekend. I was pretty much a "rebel" as a teen, but then I do understand how precious it is to have family, and keeping in touch with them all the time.
- Just before the pandemic, I discovered how much I love Pen & Paper role playing games, and how much of an effect it would have to a person's mental health and pretty much posing as therapy. It also teaches you valuable life skills like doing presentation and empathy. So yeah, I'm proud to say that I'm also a Game Master. If you don't know what that means, well, it just means, I make stuff up and be the referee in a made up game, okay?
Who are you?
- Well, everything that I've said above resonates with you, and you're completely okay living by yourself, just like me, but then you also think that it'd be nice to have some to come home to and fold laundry together on the weekends and laugh together watching something funny.
How would we proceed if you're to contact me?
- If somehow you're nearby, then let's go on a date in the closest city, and be a tourist there and get to know each other, or
- We play some coop games like It Takes Two, or some other online games and get to know each other from there.
I don't know what else to say here, but anyway, that's all I wanna say. If you think we'd match, chat me up! Or message!
