This sub us extremely unrealistic views of teenagers
Post Body

It seems like every post is complaining about a character being unrealistic for doing stuff that either hurts them or goes against what they should think based on their own actions. I think it’s extremely important to remember that the characters are teenagers!!! They are gonna do selfish things and think selfishly despite what they may have done. Feel guilty about stuff? Oh well, they still want to be selfish and want things.

Like Jules being jealous of Rue despite cheating on Rue herself. Doesn’t make sense on paper but her character is a teenager who hasn’t figured out anything in life yet. Cassie not seeing the abuse that is Nate? She’s a teenager! She’s blinded by so many emotions right now.

Like my gosh everyone, these characters aren’t meant to be perfect or understandable. They don’t even see the irony of their own actions. Did you as a teenager?
