France -> Roman Empire - best way to do it? No colonising?

Post Body

So I am at the stage where I really want to do a Roman empire run for the Mare Nostrum achievement since I exclusively play on ironman. But I'm very tempted not to bother taking exploration or expansion ideas since WC is never a goal of mine and because Leviathan has made colonising more difficult since you have to go and war the natives; is there much I'm missing out on by not taking these idea groups? I'd say im better off getting an early start on admin and influence/diplomatic/espionage ideas first ngl. I do like colonising but if I'm doing with the sole aim of RE is there much need?
