Question: Achievement Mechanics

If I was attempting to get achievements "Turn the Table" and "First come, First serve" in the same run, could I start as the colonial nation of a custom nation in greenland? Or could I at least colonize and later play as a colonial nation to get these?
Also would "For Odin" fit into this? Any help on this would be appreciated, trying to be sneaky and combine acheivements in new ways :D
