I have been playing a Florence->HRE or Italy campaign, and Im doing pretty well in the Italy department and overall. (have most of northern italy, all of egypt, and a bunch of trade companies/colonial nations)
But the HRE part is harder and Im getting concerned it might never happen.
My original strategy was to try and make sure that the catholics would win the league war, because it would remove a bunch of electors and open a slot for me to be appointment an elector by my pal Saxony, who is the emperor.
Now that we've won the league war, the number of electors went from 7 to 4. Since then, its dropped to 2. I don't understand why Saxony, who Ive been allies with the entire campaign and have 200 relations with, isn't giving me an electorship! On top of that, Im one of only 5 catholic countries left in the HRE...
Saxony even appointed Oldenburg, a 1 province minor that was only just released in a peace deal, along with Munster, as electors. Why am I not being selected as an elector, even when there need to be 3 more electors, and Oldenburg of all countries was appointed? This seems horribly unfair.
More info on my country: I am a monarchy, ruler is male, diplorep is at 1.27, im one over my relations limit.
