Remember when the game first came out and half of the world's Religions had no cool bonuses or interesting random events? Thats how I currently feel playing my Prester John Achievement run.
Now that eu4 is getting closer and closer to the end of its DLC run. I think it would be cute to spice up the Coptic religion a bit. I know it won't affect many game runs, becuase its only available in Abyssina and Armenia, but yet its the only Christian Religion with a boring Religion page.
Here's an idea that first came to mind for me: Isolation vs Interaction with the rest of the Christian world. Isolation could give things like Prestige and Legitimacy, as being the only legitimate Christian in a sea of Muslims will give your king a "right" to rule. Interaction with other demoninations of Christian (Mostly Western and Eastern) could give a bonus to tech cost and take away the malus of being a heretic. (Maybe 5 for conforming heretics?) Attaching this to a slider or a "level" system and making you lose or gain points with events and interactions with other nations would be the way of changing your Isolation/Interaction status.
Let me know your thoughts! Even if you have a totally different idea for copts that may be better!
Thanks for all of the support guys, please continue to highlight changes. I realize now that EU4 may not be near the end of its expansion content in a timeline fashion (I will continue to play for years to come and it will be developed for 2-3 or more years), I suppose I meant that in a larger sense, as we are probably more than halfway done in number of expansions and EU4 is no longer a game in its infancy
Appreciate all the feedback, Slug
