I'm playing as Austria and want to keep the Italian states in the HRE. If I go to war with the pope and give Tuscany (for example) a province, will the AI add the land to the HRE, or will I have to personally annex all the land and add it?
As a side question, is there anyway to rejoin the HRE if you form Italy?
