Westernizing as Poland post 1.5?

So I'm playing my game as Poland on ironman and looking to get the Poland can into space achievement. I've already gotten winged hussars and since I'm massive, my economy is ballin and i have all 3 advisors. Since the techs keep increasing in cost, is it really necessary to westernize in order to complete the achievement? My manpower eclipses anyone else so I'm not really worried about losing any wars at this point. Just thought I'd get people's thoughts on it.
