Do I lose the theta value of my long options if I use them to sell short term calls?
Post Body
I have itm long calls and want to do poor man's covered calls
I want to sell weekly calls that are close to itm
If my short calls go itm and get exercised, do I lose the theta value of my long calls?
Ex: I have 1/17/2025 400c on XXX valued at $100.00 per contract. XXX is at 425
If I sell weekly 420c's at $5.00 a piece that expire in 4 days and XXX is gets to say 425 a share. Do I lose the theta value of my long calls?
