My birthday is coming up and thereās an event I want to go to. I think at least a few friends would like to go to as well.
This is a popular event and Iām worried tickets may sell out. So I bought one ticket for me plus 3 extras. Tickets are $50 each so I spent $200.
Questions: - should I ask the 3 people that take the tickets to pay me back? Or is that tacky/cheap? - is it ok to tell everyone āthe first 3 to claim the extra tickets get themā¦everyone else must buy their own ticket and the event may sell outāā¦.or, again, is that tacky?
I havenāt really done much for my birthday in recent years and Iām prob going to be spending a fair amount of money on this birthday between the event and probably getting food afterwardā¦and possibly even renting an Airbnb to keep the party going in the evening. So Iād like to at least recoup my costs for the event tickets. I donāt really want to feel like Iām paying people to come to my birthday, y know?
Let me know what you think.
