How to respond to FIL war stories shared unprompted via text
Post Body
My boyfriend's stepdad sent me and my boyfriend a long text message with a story about someone he knew in Vietnam who died, and how they died. I don't have any family who was in the service so I have no idea what is the proper thing to say to such a message. I'm sorry for your loss is like, 50 years too late right??? Anything I can think of sounds trivial. Any ideas?
