When I was in high school, I went on this trip to London 13 years ago. Before the flight going home, I bought a bracelet. I wore it on the plane going home. How the bracelet looked is that is was thicker than a rubberband, a similair color, but there was a design on it. It was not actually a rubberband. My teacher saw me wearing it and said, "Are you wearing a bracelet?" I said, "Yes." She said, "I just thought it was rubberband." That was it, no one said anything after that. My dad is a surgeon, and she knows this because she asked me what my dad's job is. She knows that my mom is a housewife because she asked. Maybe she was jealous of my mom or something. I did some thinking and I interpreted her comment as her trying to insult me and and mock me and say, "If your dad is a surgeon, why are you wearing a rubberband as a bracelet since only poor children wear rubberbands as bracelets?" I have been thinking about this for 13 years and it still bothers me to this day.
