Some of you may have seen some of my posts about IDEX. Just wanted to share a quick summary on how IDEX has a much improved experience over other DEX's:
1) Really fast – Imagine trading on Poloniex, Binance, or GDAX. You place a limit order and the order is instantly placed. Or you take from the order book and you instantly make the trade and have the tokens in your account. Or you cancel 10 outstanding orders with one click and and they all instantly go away. This is what it feels like on IDEX-- for trading, there's no waiting. The transactions are queued and posted to the blockchain one after another instead of you having to do them yourself. 0x exchanges and Etherdelta cannot be this fast by design. You can watch this short video to see what it's like. The one tradeoff here is you have to wait until all of your trades for a particular token are processed before you can withdraw that token, since all trades get written to the blockchain.
2) Free cancels – No gas fee or waiting for cancels. This makes very active trading and order changes possible.
3) Rewards - Makers that get matched with a taker (ie, you place a standing limit order and someone fills it) earn AURA tokens that will be used to stake the exchange protocol of the larger banking project that IDEX is a part of, Aurora (also a cool project to check out in general). Also you can read more here.
4) Free trades - If you're an active trader, you can purchase DVIP tokens to reduce your trade fees to 0. You can find the details on the site, don't want to spam the sale here.
We have a long way to go in terms of liquidity and could use your support! We have many active markets and can market make for any that don't have liquidity. If you have a token you'd like to trade on IDEX but there's not enough liquidity, post below and we'll start a discussion. Besides that, have questions? Love us? Hate us? Let us know below. Thanks guys and happy new year!
Edit: We're also looking to hire talented developers or anyone who's genuinely interested in contributing. PM me if interested
