u/rustedpopcorn was not on the call with admins when the "sunsetting" of rcps was announced, it was not mentioned in the moderator channel on the discord until 09:15 (PST) that reddit were removing rcps, at 09:17 (PST) was when u/carlslarson said that Reddit would be announcing it in one hour.

Rustedpopcorn asked at approximately 10:08 (PST) as to whether there had been a public announcement.

"I did sell my moons and bricks after learning reddit was essentially rug-pulling the community points.

I wasn't on the call, I saw talks about the sunset of community points after the call had ended. I assumed it was common knowledge at that point because the price had already started to fall and that’s what I based selling them off of. I have been through many rug-pulls in crypto and all that went through my mind was to act quickly. There was no malicious intent but I understand how it would feel unfair from an outside perspective.

If the community chooses to vote me out of a mod position because of this, I will respect that decision.

Therefore it is the general belief of the moderators that u/rustedpopcorn did not act in bad faith or abuse insider knowledge for monetary gain, as such rustedpopcorn will not be removed by the moderation team.

If the community disagrees with the moderators decision regarding this matter you are free to proceed to a governance poll in order to decide upon a different course of action that, providing the proposal and poll are written in accordance to the guidelines, will be approved to go to poll if this is what the community wishes.

In the event of a governance vote, myself, u/aminok, u/carlslarson and u/dont_forget_canada have chosen to abstain from the vote.
