In light of the MetaMask license revision issue, perhaps not the best time to do this, but so it goes. I spent some pandemic lockdown time thinking about some improvements for the annoyances in MetaMask's UX, and have put some ideas together in the linked post.
Everything is open source, and the design files are on Figma Community. It is intentionally not a radical redesign, simply an evolutionary one, something that could reasonably be implemented while keeping the existing feature set.
The intention was to give something useful to the crypto community, given how much of a default gateway to the eth ecosystem it has become, while not really maintaining the kind of high user experience standard needed for crypto to achieve more mainstream acceptance.
