It's getting tiring seeing all the talk making it outside the Ethereum community of the hard fork being the result of the greedy devs not wanting to lose the money they put into the DAO. I think that argument is complete rubbish, but I've seen it multiple times outside of crypto subreddits now. I truly believe the hard fork won because it was considered by the majority in the community to be what was best for Ethereum the platform long term (whether that turns out to come true or not). But I feel so frustrated by these comments that I don't know how to express my thoughts clearly.
A lot has been written in favor of the hard fork over the past few weeks. Does anyone have a particularly helpful article that I can point laymen to which argues for why the hard fork was good for the Ethereum network as a whole? Also an article which makes a strong moral argument in favor of the hard fork could be helpful.
Thanks.
