Milky solution
Post Body

So I mixed a new batch estrogel but instead of using the Isopropylalcohol usualy used, i decided on use hand sanitiser. The reason beeing the skin irritation caused by the IPA and wanting to try something new. The problem became apparand after mixing estrogen, sanitiser and penetration enhancer. Instead of the usualy almost clear solution, it became more like milk and the penetration enhancer (orange oil in this case) didn't mix in with the solution. After some time and ocasional stirring, it became a more uniform blend but seteling out afterwards (not as clearly seperated from each other but still two dicernable layers after an hour of sitting).

My question is if it is just the estrogen powder not solving well into the solution or the ingredients of the hand sanitiser reacting with the estrogen forming something new?

How stable is estrogen as a molekule next to other chemicals (excluding Oxygen)?

The hand sanitizer contains according to the datasheet:

99% Ethanol

Butan-2-on

Glycerol

Tetradecan-1-ol

Benzin

Penetration enhancer:

orange oil

Lavendel oil (not an enhancer just to keep the skin from irritating)
