I have worked with several companies at this point of my carrier and the difference between a standard position and a senior position seems to vary greatly. For some companies, a senior is expected to be more front-facing with clients/owners/GCs for large projects, somehow seeming to be doing everything; for others, it seems to be in name only with maybe having large dollar value projects with a few direct reports.
Asking r/estimators what is your opinion should be the expectations for a senior role over a traditional role?
