My estimating nightmare!

I recently got brought back from furlough to continue a job where the previous estimator quit. All I got was a folder full of about 100 excel spreadsheets lol. I now have to justify a 5 million dollar cost savings and have no idea where that number came from. There is no detail to back it up.
Sorry just felt like ranting lol. Anyone else have something similar happen?
