I just made an impulse buy: KinkLab Neon wand electrodes kit. Did I make a good purchase?

I never played with any electro play devices. I figured neon wand stuff is fairly easy introduction to electro play. What are your opinions and experinces?
Edit: I will be using the wand with a new girlfriend who is a total novice with BDSM play. Looking for something fun, entry level type device and not (too) scary...
