How many drops of oil should I use?

I just bought the Vitruvi stone diffuser & it really says to do 20-30 drops of oil, is that normal? I’m used to hearing people say they only do a few drops in their diffusers so 20-30 drops just sounds so excessive to me. (Btw I don’t know anything about essential oils please go easy on me)
