Impulse Buy: Bezzera Z99 with Grinder

I'm in total despair at my stupidity and looking for your thoughts to validate or relieve my anxiety. I was at an estate sale and made this impulse purchase... a Bezzera Z99S with burr grinder for (gulp) $800. Upon returning home with the large and heavy beasts, I commenced to researching these machines. They are so old that not even the internet knows they exist. I contacted the company to find service/maintenance information and they laughed (in Italian). I have two lines of question:
- Does anyone have any thoughts on just how stupid this purchase was?
- Does anyone have any thoughts on steps to evaluate, clean, adjust function. I have not fired it up yet because it has direct water feed.
