Nuova Simonelli Appia 2 spraying water from pressure valve?

I bought this machine second hand from a cafe in the area who closed- the machine was working as normal for them prior to closing (only 2 weeks before i got it). We got it hooked up today finally and when it’s turned on water sprays out of the top of what appears as a pressure valve (inside the machine). I will try to video and record what it’s doing. Does anyone have any experience with this?
