My esspresso is weighed, the grinder was not adjusted, even before the first shot. It was the same hopper of beans. I use a leveler and don't tamp, so compaction of the grounds should be very consistent. The pressure guage on the first shot barely budged while the second one was up to 9 to 10 bars.
What could lead to such an inconsistent flow rate when all the variable seem the same.
