Good bean-to-cup machines for a gift?

I want to gift my parents a new espresso machine so they stop using capsules. But they will not want a regular espresso machine with portafilter, handle etc.
I was thinking of getting them a De Longhi Magnifica S. Does anyone have experience with these machines? Are they worth it?
