I’ve looked online for info about correctly tamping a single shot filter basket, but can’t find much. My single has sloped sides, so I’m curious as to how you create a puck. I don’t want to split a double, I want to be able to make a few small lattes throughout the evening at home. 7 grams of grounds in my basket is more than just the center portion and creeps up the sides. Tamping that just makes a loose mess in the portafilter. If I add more grounds, I can tamp but then the puck usually sticks to the shower screen. I can see why no one uses them. Any advice?
