How much coffee in a 1.5 shot

I inherited my espresso machine from my dad. I tried stepping up my espresso game and went on a course. I found out I need 19g of coffee, 24-28 seconds and 37grams of espresso pulled. But when I put 19g in my portafilter, the portafilter wont screw on. So I think my portafilter is somehow designed like a 1.5 shot. Is this a think? If so, how many grams of coffee would I need for a 1.5 shot? And how many grams of espresso do I need to pull to get the exact same taste as a 19g coffee and roughly 37g espresso shot? And lastly, how many seconds should my shot last?
