I'm quite new to espresso at home and know my setup is probably junk compared to most on here. My friend ran a coffee cart/truck and lent me this machine after he closed down. He said i want it to take about 30 seconds to pull the shots but i can't get it to go any slower. I dont typically pour into a measuring cup, but it gives a good reference for how much has come through in the 15 or so seconds of brewing.
machine is a nemox caffe fenice that i dont really know much how to use. i dont steam my milk... i just turn the top switch and after a few minutes hit the bottom switch to get it to pour. https://imgur.com/a/xO2Fem3
- Beans are ncie and fresh, usually just from the grocery store but i've gotten them right from a good roaster too.
- Secura Burr Coffee Grinder set to finest setting, also have had a good roaster pre grind as espresso
- i pack it down as tight as i can
not sure what else to try. It tastes fine to me but i just want to make sure i'm doing it as decently as i can.
