Hello espresso connoisseurs!

Recently stumbled upon this awesome subreddit and have already started falling down the rabbithole.

I can imagine that these «what beginner machine to buy»-posts can be a little annoying, but I hope bare with me.

I’ve looked in to several machines the past weeks an availability in my country is limited and the machines that can be bought are often hundreds of dollars more expensive here than the prices I see on reviews.

I have now found three options that i’m considering.

Gaggia Classic pro evo - this machine is on sale this week for 470 usd brand new.

Ascaso Uno (no PID) I can Get used for 330 usd. Looks to be in great condition.

Miicoffee apex - for 499 usd. this I’ll have to import so some import taxes might occur.

The most important features for me are, in subsequent order are: Good tasting shots, compact and nice design (I have a really small apartment) and relatively fast and easy pulling from a cold machine. Quality and sturdy build quality is also something I appreciate.

I suspect some will suggest a bambino plus as this checks all the boxes(?) I have looked in this one and it is available here for 520 usd. I haven’t fallen in love with the design of this and I prefer a 58mm piratfilter. I haven’t rules this out.

Another option that is interesting is the profitec go. Love the looks and PID feature, but the price will prevent me from buying one until I have saved up for a couple of months.

I know the grinder can be as or even more important so I have left some room in the budget for that. If you have any pairing suggestions I would appreciete that as well. Small size is a must and I’m hoping to find one around 200usd new or used.

I hope my newbieness and high demands is not to bothersome!
